Windows have always been object of interest of a various kind. They are not only part of the architecture, but they are as well part of the perception we get of the world when we are inside and as well the impression we get for the inhabitats of a certain building when we are on the outside. Windows have often been used in metaphors and many times quite successfully.
As we have visited places we took some pictures we would like to share with you.

Old windows

Could old windows be prety

Old windows or windows that are not so old but are installed on a wall with plaster defects is not obligatory a bad picture. On the contrary photographs somehow catch a specific beauty and at the final look we can find a great deal of charm in them.

As a matter of fact old and badly maintained buildings are almost always very picturesque and if you visit some deserted village you’ll probably make more amazing photos than ever. That phenomenon of reviewing old and partly destroyed as a piece of art is due to our contemporary understanding of culture as a word with a very wide meaning, that figures a situation in which we can enjoy more aspects of our culture behavior and consider the oldish as art.

As well old and partly damaged buildings, respectively windows not only remind us of art because of it’s cultural variety but it is art in it’s shell once because architecture is art with a significant value and also because damaged architecture is more a sculpture than architecture. And that touches us.
